The Story of The Unit Simulacrum and Whole PI

William Craig Byrdwell, Ph.D. is a Research Chemist.  Dr. Byrdwell conducts research on fats and oils using high performance liquid chromatography (HPLC) coupled to mass spectrometry (MS).

Dr. Byrdwell is the author or co-author of more than 40 publications, and has given numerous presentations at scientific meetings and conferences. He has published several review articles in the field of APCI-MS for lipid analysis.

Dr. Byrdwell is the editor and co-author of Modern Methods for Lipid Analysis by Liquid Chromatography/ Mass Spectrometry and Related Techniques, published by the American Oil Chemists’ Society Press. It was during the writing of Chapter 7 in that book that Dr. Byrdwell discovered the Bottom Up Solution to the Triacylglycerol Lipidome and the Unit Simulacrum.

Byrdwell Publishing Company was started as a response to The Unit Simulacrum.  I decided to publish, in my own words, the story of the discovery of The Bottom Up Solution, The Unit Simulacrum, Whole PI, and the new Periodic Table equations.
